Tokyo Revengers’ Mikey Gets Giant Statue Inspired By Buddha

JAPAN – A giant golden statue of Sano Manjiro, commonly known as ‘Mikey,’ was shown at the Tokyo Revengers exhibition, which is being held from January 29th to February 14th at World Import Mart Building Exhibition Hall A in Ikebukuro Sunshine City, Japan. The statue was inspired by the well-known reclining pose of Buddha’s statue in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fans also prayed to Mikey’s monument for the safety of the Tokyo Revengers Exhibition during a prayer ritual.

There is a photography site in the manga display portion where you can ride on the bicycle beside Mikey. A photo of Mikey on a bike is something that fans will not want to miss.

The three-dimensional exhibition, as well as the costumes and motorcycles worn by the cast members in the live-action film, are also on display. There is a large statue of Mikey with a smile at the end of the show.

Ken Wakui created the Tokyo Revengers manga series, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen magazine in March 2017. The anime series was created by the Liden Films studio, and the first season premiered in April 2021.

The Tokyo Revengers’ second season has been confirmed. A live-action film based on the series will be released in Japan in July 2021.
