Suspect in murder of Maguad siblings, still not found; reward has reached P500K

The father of the victims, Crizzle Gwynn, 18, and Crizville Luois Orbe Maguad, 16, burst into tears after his children being stabbed and hammered inside their house in Barangay Bagontapay, M’lang North Cotabato last December 10.

In an interview with “Newsline Philippines,” the victim’s father wanted justice for the deaths of his children.

He is also asking for the help of President Rodrigo Duterte to speed up the search for the possible culprit.

“Ang nais ko lang Sir, kasi di na mabalik ang buhay ng mga anak ko, hindi ko na sila mayakap at di ko na sila makita na masaya. Please send me someone, kung sino man makapagbigay samin ng hustisya sa lalong madaling panahon para man lang kumalma kami at mabawasan yung sakit na aming nararamdaman,” said Cruz Maguad, victim's father.

In this regard, “Janice” is now in the custody of the Social Welfare and Development Office in Mlang, North Cotabato who’s the last survivor of the two students.

M’lang police have not yet made an official statement, but they are keeping a close eye on “Janice” who can be considered a person of interest and witness in the said crime.

Crizzle Gwynn’s cellphone and the witness’s cellphone were also reportedly lost.

The vice mayor called on everyone to cooperate with the authorities if there is any information to immediately bring justice to the siblings, especially their orphaned parents.

Also in the video of Newsline Philippines, Crizzle Gwynn’s ear was cut and it can also be seen that her body was covered in bruises that it is possible for her to fight the suspect. Crizville Louis’s body was found right outside their home while Crizzle Gwynn’s body was found inside.

P500,000 will be given to those who can name the suspects who killed the Maguad brothers.

It may be recalled that the Sangguniang Bayan of M’lang first gave a Php200,000 reward through Vice Mayor Joselito Piñol for the reward money, while an additional Php50,000 reward came from Tulunan Mayor Pip Limbungan.

Now M’lang Mayor Russel Abonado has also increased it Php250,000 for the quick arrest of the suspect.

Meanwhile, the Maguad family also showered sympathy from netizens for what happened to the siblings.
