Successful Businessman: “Grades and Diploma Aren’t the Only Basis for Success”

After showing his Grade 6 report card and stating that grades and diplomas aren’t the only criteria for success, a successful businessman went viral. Of course, he is correct!

Many of us were told as children that we needed to work hard in order to get good grades and complete college in order to be successful. Of course, this worked for many, but others were able to accomplish great things without them!

After sharing a photo of his report card alongside the businesses he had successfully built over the years, Ian Gonzales of Batangas City inspired many people.

Sipag at tiyag lang samahan muna din ng dasal, lahat tayo aasenso,” he wrote in his Facebook post.

As you can see from the report card he posted, the grades were all so low in most subjects that he barely had any subjects with grades above 80%. For ESP, he received the highest score of 83 percent (Edukasyon sa Pagpakatao).

Those grades, however, appear to have made no difference to Gonzales, who went on to become a successful businessman despite receiving a 7!

Chubby Thai Parts and Classical Works Batangas are now his businesses.

His post elicited a mixed response, with some even making jokes about it.

Of course, Gonzales isn’t encouraging the youth to abandon their studies. However, he wanted to emphasize that poor grades should not deter you from giving it your all and working hard because you can still turn your life around and achieve success.
