The Postgraduate Research Scholarships in Multi-channel, Multi-Frequency Measurements Systems for Electromagnetic Imaging have been announced by the University of Queensland. Applications are now being accepted for the academic year 2022-2023. Professor Amin Abbosh’s Electromagnetic Innovations team at UQ will employ the selected candidate. Criteria of Eligibility

  • All nationalities are eligible to participate.
  • Postgraduate Engineering Research given by the university is an eligible course or subject.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:
  • Applicants must have conducted some form of study.
  • Applicants must hold a Master of Philosophy and have earned an authorized university degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree with honors class IIA or equivalent from an authorized university; or
  • Master’s degree in coursework with a 5.65 overall grade point average on a 7-point UQ scale, with relevant research experience, as approved by the dean; or
  • On the basis of a postgraduate degree (at least one year full-time or equivalent) and demonstrated research experience equivalent to honors class IIA, with an overall grade point average of 5 on a 7-point UQ scale.

Benefits Offered

  • In accordance with UQ and RTP Scholarship Policy, the institution will grant an annual stipend of $28,854 (2022 rate), for a period of 3.5 years with the possibility of one extension, as well as a living stipend and tuition costs.

Process of the Application

  • Students must submit an application for postgraduate research admission through the university’s online portal. Contact Professor Amin Abbosh() once you’ve enrolled to discuss your eligibility for this award.
  • Students must complete the following steps when submitting their entrance application to be considered for the scholarship:
    • The scholarship and collaborative study area of the application must be visited by students.
    • Choose ‘My higher degree does not require collaboration.’
    • Select ‘I am applying for a scholarship or sponsorship or have been awarded one.’
    • Select ‘Other,’ then ‘Research Project Scholarship,’ and in the ‘Name of Scholarship’ area, put ‘ELECTROMAGNETIC ABBOSH.’
  • Documents to Support Your Application: Students must provide the following documents to the university:
    • a copy of your curriculum vitae
    • Transcripts of grades
    • Degree transcripts and two letters of recommendation
    • Passport
    • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant research experience, including research publications, to be considered for admission.
  • Students must submit results from the following English language proficiency tests:
    • 570 on the TOEFL PBT
    • IBT TOEFL – 87
    • IELTS -7.0
    • IELTS 6.5
