Pinay ran away from her boss and fell from the residence’s 2nd floor


Clinging to a blanket to get away from the allegedly abusive boss who brought her to Paris. That is why the life of “Jenny,” a 28-year-old Filipina, was put in jeopardy.

According to eyewitnesses, the Pinay emerged from the second floor window with a blanket to aid her escape, but she let go of the blanket, causing alias Jenny to fall.

Witnesses filmed the escape of alias Jenny from the second floor of her residence, she used a blanket to hold on but she let it go.
Just seconds after getting out of the window, alias Jenny let go of the blanket she was using to escape, she landed on the sidewalk first on both feet.

Fortunately, “Jenny” received immediate assistance from the Filipino community in Paris and ABS-CBN News. An ambulance was dispatched right away to transport the Pinay to the hospital.

“Jenny” was lying on the sidewalk, unable to move her legs and feet after falling from the second floor of her residence, she was immediately helped by some witnesses, while her boss was furious.
Witnesses and her boss talked to “Jenny” while waiting for the ambulance to take her to the hospital.

“Jenny’s” boss awoke, furious, but did nothing but allow “Jenny” to be taken to the hospital.

According to “Jenny,” her employer in France hired her as a maid from Qatar, but she was detained and allegedly abused.

According to Lito Gomez, a Filcom leader in Paris, he called ABS-CBN correspondent Bong Agustinez to document the incident and show it to police.

“Gusto raw niyang tumakas sa kanyang employer dahil minamaltrato siya, Pagdating ng mga imbestigador, sinabi namin ang katotohanan,” said Bong Agustinez, ABS-CBN France correspondent.
Alias Jenny is given first aid before being taken to the hospital.
“Ang ginawa ko ni-report ko sa pulis binisita namin kagabi para tingnan kung tama ang address na ibinigay, kasi naman taga rito 'yun, ngayon nag-text sa akin na tatakas daw siya ng gabi na 'yun dahil natatakot siya sa employer niya,” said Lito Gomez, Founder and President of the Maharlika Association.  

Although Gomez is unaware of the full details and escape plan of “Jenny,” they are focused on the update.

“Jenny” now has her passport and is recuperating in the hospital after having surgery on both of her legs as a result of a fall.

According to “Jenny,” her salary is only 350 Euros (approximately 20,000 pesos) per day for 15 hours of work with no days off. To make matters worse, her boss is accused of raping and imprisoning her.

Alias Jenny is recovering in a hospital in Paris, DFA and POLO will help her with her medical treatment and return to the Philippines.
“Umaalis po sila dun, nila-lock po ang pinto kaya hindi po ako makalabas. Sobra pong bastos niya kung ano-ano na po ang ginagawa niya, pinapagawa niya sa akin. Ayaw ko naman pong gawin, kasi alam ko naman po hindi po maganda. Tapos po, sobra pong pagod sa trabaho. Alas-sais po ako ng umaga nagsisimula hanggang alas dose ng gabi. Tatlo po yung bata na inaalagaan ko,” said" Jenny ", an OFW who ran away from her employer.   l

“Jenny” became emotional when she talked to the grandmother in the Philippines who is taking care of her three children.

“Nagpapasalamat po ako kay Leon Guerero at sa FSSF at ganun na rin po sa ABS-CBN sa pagbigay po ng ayuda ng pagkain,”  said alias "Jenny".  

Filipinos in Paris have condemned the mistreatment of some employers. In France, there are numerous such cases.

The Philippine Embassy in Paris requested “Jenny’s” information in order to assist.

The embassy thanked ABS-CBN News in an email for providing information and reporting on what happened to “Jenny.”

They stated that they will seek assistance and medical attention for alias Jenny through DFA-OUMWA and POLO.

“The Embassy thanks ABS-CBN for providing initial information about the situation of OFW (Ms. ***)  The Embassy would like to request from you for more information on her details (email, mobile, FB. etc.) , especially the hospital where she is being treated, so that the Embassy can contact her directly and render the appropriate assistance to her case. This assistance would include coordinating with offices such as the DFA Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (DFA-OUMWA), Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) based in Madrid to ensure her continued medical treatment and repatriation to the Philippines,” said in an email.   

They will also report the employer’s alleged abuse to French authorities for investigation.

“The alleged abuse of her employer will also be reported to the appropriate French and Philippine authorities for appropriate investigation.” the email stated.

When alias Jenny recovers, the embassy will also arrange for her repatriation.

“The Embassy will coordinate with the concerned authorities for repatriation as soon as her medical condition allows her to do so,” said in the email.
