New Students International Scholarships at Kangwon National University, South Korea


Kangwon National University has established the Scholarships for New Students program to assist students to pursue their educational ambitions. These scholarships will be given out in South Korea during the school year 2022-2023. This scholarship is only available to new students who enroll in and are accepted into any of Kangwon National University’s undergraduate programs. The scholarship provides partial or full tuition cost exemption ranging from 35% to 100%. The scholarship recipients will be chosen based on their TOPIK scores, which must be three or higher.

Kangwon National University is a major (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution that is officially K certified and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Korea. Kangwon National University provides courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor’s degrees in a variety of fields of study.

Criteria of Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All foreign and domestic students are welcome to apply.
  • Eligible Courses or Subjects: Any undergraduate program at Kangwon National University is acceptable.
  • Criteria for Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Applicants must have a TOPIK level 4 or higher or have completed a language course at the KNU International Language Institute.
  • To get admitted to our universities, applicants must have the necessary qualifications, such as a TOPIK level 3 or above.
  • Students who have studied at KNU International Language Institute for six months or longer and have an attendance percentage of 80 percent or higher for all semesters are eligible to apply.

  • How to Apply: Applicants must apply for admission through the university portal. All qualifying students will be considered automatically.
