The 20th annual TOYCON PH, the world’s biggest pop culture convention, has honored actor comedian Michael V. with a prestigious “Pinoy Pop Culture Icon” award.

The award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the popular culture of the Philippines. Michael V. has a notable impact on TV, films, music, and digital worlds, making him an influential figure for Filipinos.

In an interview with GMA, Michael V. said that the recognition is “something that I will cherish for a long time kasi ito ‘yung personality ko eh.” He noted.
“To be able to receive this award na parang embodiment nung pagkatao ko, parang napaka-special para sa’kin,” expressed the “Pepito Manaloto” he said.
Aside from his recent achievement, Michael V. has become an active member of the TOYCON PH community. He’d been a judge in the prestigious cosplay contest at this Convention before. Currently lending his voice to the character Octo-1, an octopus robot in the Kapuso series “Voltes V: Legacy,” Michael V. continues to leave a lasting impression on the audience.
