A member of the LGBTQ community died after he was stabbed by two minors in Zamboanga City. The victim’s newly bought motorcycle was stolen by the perpetrators.
James Paolo Yap told GMA Regional TV News on Tuesday that the bloody body of the victim, Arnel Fabian, was found inside his room in the Zampen urban poor community in the early hours of January 30.
The victim sustained 10 stab wounds that caused his death.
The culprits fled and stole the victim’s newly purchased motorcycle.
With the help of social media, the whereabouts of the suspects, both 17-years-old, were identified and traced.
In a follow-up operation conducted by Divisoria Police Station personnel, the suspects were arrested.
The victim’s motorcycle was found in a warehouse in Barangay Mercedez.
Relatives described Fabian as a kind, helpful and cheerful person.
Even if they are minors, the police will file a robbery with homicide complaint against the two suspects.
