When it comes to renewing licenses and permits that are set to expire in the coming months, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) is taking the recent increase in active COVID-19 cases into account.
As a result, the LTO has announced that it has extended the validity of driver’s licenses, student permits, and conductor’s licenses that were set to expire in January, February, and March.
Those who have licenses or permits that are set to expire in January can continue to use them until March 31, 2022. Permits and licenses that are set to expire in February will remain valid until April 30, 2022.
Last but not least, those with licenses and permits that are set to expire in March will be relieved to know that they can continue to use them until May 31, 2022.
In addition to extending the validity of licenses and permits, the LTO stated that they have extended the validity of medical certificates that will expire in January, February, and March. Those who intend to renew will not need to obtain a new certificate as a result.
With the pandemic still affecting the country, the LTO advises those planning to renew their licenses or permits to adhere to the bare minimum of health and safety protocols when visiting their nearest LTO office.
