Another lottery winner became a multi-millionaire overnight after winning over Php 100 million in the 6/58 lotto draw on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
The lone winner obtained the winning combination 20-22-09-54-06-19 of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) Ultra Lotto 6/58, which resulted in a total jackpot amount of Php 100,064,568.00.
With the winning ticket and two identification cards, the bettor can claim the check at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City, according to PCSO.
However, prizes not claimed by the winners within 1 year from the date of the draw shall be forfeited in accordance to R.A. 1169.
The selling agent, moreover, will receive a reward commission of 1% of the jackpot amount up to PHP1 million.
According to the TRAIN law, lotto prizes of more than PHP10,000 are subject to a final tax of 20%. Once the winner has claimed the jackpot, it will be reduced by 20%.
Meanwhile, 29 others received P120,000 each for correctly guessing five of the six-digit winning combination; 1,682 bettors received P2,000 each for four of the six digits; and 25,231 bettors got P100 each for three of the six digits.
PCSO repeatedly urged the public to continue supporting their games because a large portion of the revenue is donated to charitable organizations.
Furthermore, the PCSO is the primary government agency in charge of raising and distributing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charitable organizations.
The 6/58 is drawn every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. To participate, choose 6 numbers from 1 to 58 or play Lucky Pick for randomly generated numbers. Each bet costs P20.
