Kim Jong Kook Tests Positive For COVID-19

SEOUL – South Korean singer, Kim Jong-kook has tested positive with the coronavirus, according to his management agency, as the omicron spike sweeps the local entertainment field.

Hello, this is Turbo JK Company.

We are informing you that our artist Kim Jong Kook has tested positive for COVID-19 today (February 10).

Kim Jong Kook felt mild cold symptoms on February 9, so he preemptively tested himself with a self-testing kit, and the results were positive. He then underwent PCR testing and was officially diagnosed with COVID-19 today.

Kim Jong Kook has completed two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he is currently not experiencing any major health problems. He has halted all his scheduled activities and is taking necessary measures according to the directions of the disease control authorities.

We will do our best for the treatment and rapid recovery of Kim Jong Kook, and we will continue to follow the guidelines of the disease control authorities and put the health and safety of our artists and staff members first.

On February 10, his agency Turbo JK Company released the statement.

He is fully vaccinated and has no severe health issues, according to the report, but he has canceled all appointments.

Kim can presently be seen on a variety of TV shows, including the popular variety show “Running Man” and the music game show “I Can See Your Voice.”

The entertainment industry is suffering as a result of a surge in everyday infections caused by the highly transmissible omicron strain in South Korea.

Star actor Lee Byung-hun and his wife Rhee Min-jung were proven to be sick with COVID-19 earlier this week. The filming of Lee’s upcoming tvN drama “Our Blues,” in which he stars, was halted immediately due to his sickness.
