International Community College Leadership Awards in USA for Bachelor


With the support of the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s International Community College Leadership Awards, you may unleash your potential and achieve all of your academic goals. For the school year 2022-2023, the university is accepting applications. International applicants who are F-1 or J-1 visa holders and have completed an undergraduate degree program in the School of Computing & Engineering at UMKC will be considered for the prize.

Criteria of Eligibility

  • Applicants from all international countries are welcome to apply.
  • Eligible Courses or Subjects: Applicants must be enrolled in a UMKC School of Computing & Engineering undergraduate or master’s degree program.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:
  • Must be a full-time student in the School of Computing & Engineering pursuing a degree.
  • Applicants must have an F-1 or J-1 visa.

Benefits Offered

  • The scholarship recipients will get the difference in tuition between Missouri residents and nonresidents, plus $1500 every year.

Process of the Application

  • How to Apply: UMKC accepts applications via the university portal or the Common Application. First-time candidates who are admitted into the applied program will be automatically considered.
  • Documents to Support Your Application: Students must provide the following documents to the university:
    • Academic achievements
    • Statement of purpose
    • Passport
    • financial statement
    • Immigration papers
    • Additional resources
  • Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA from a community college in the United States to be considered for admission.
  • Language Requirement: Students must pass the following tests with the university’s mandated minimum scores: Proficiency in English (minimum 79 iBT TOEFL or 6.0 IELTS score).
