Actor Enchong Dee has voluntarily surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation in Quezon City in connection with DUMPER Representative Claudine Bautista-P1 Lim’s billion internet libel case filed against him in August 2021.
Dee is currently being held in the National Bureau of Investigation, according to sources. When the actor went to the government agency late in the afternoon to post bail, the court could no longer process it.
Authorities attempted but failed to serve an arrest warrant at his last known residence in Cubao, Quezon City.
Dee hasn’t been seen in the region in a long time, according to neighbors.
Cristy Fermin, an entertainment broadcaster, has persuaded Dee to surrender himself to authorities freely.
“Ito ang pinakamagandang gagawin ni Enchong dito,” she said during her radio program recently. “Hindi po pwedeng pagtaguan ito. Huwag mong paliitin ang mundo mo, magpiyansa ka.”
After Dee attacked Bautista’s wedding on social media, she filed a complaint against him, according to Bautista.
“The anxiety, anguish, humiliation and the impact on my and my family’s reputation left us no choice but to file cases against those responsible for causing us so much grief and worry, which almost led to me losing our baby, and which adversely affected some of our constituents’ trust in us,” Bautista said.
Dee had already apologized to Bautista before she filed a complaint.
