Investigators believe that a 21-year-old college student in Cordon, Isabela, committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope inside their home on Saturday, Nov 6.
Jay, not his real name, was left alone in their home, and when his mother and brother returned home, they noticed words scrawled on their walls and rushed to Jay’s room.
They discovered Jay hanging with a rope around his neck and his girlfriend’s name scribbled on his wall and called for help, but he was later declared dead.
Jay had previously threatened to commit suicide if she ended their relationship, according to his girlfriend.
She also stated that they do not have any issues in their relationship at the moment, but authorities are looking into love problems as an angle.
