Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa wished Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III victory in the 2022 elections on his 60th birthday.
Lacson is running for president, with Sotto as his running mate.
“Sana manalo si Sir Ping at Sir SP,” Dela Rosa mentioned this while blowing out the candle on his birthday cake, as caught on video by Senator Joel Villanueva.
Dela Rosa, a close friend of President Rodrigo Duterte, turned 60 on January 21, but he commemorated the celebration in the Senate on Monday.
“It is just fitting to wish my friends and colleagues well in a gathering like that especially so that they are honoring me on my birthday,” Dela Rosa said in a text message when asked about his birthday message.
Dela Rosa and Lacson belong to different political parties, despite the fact that they both lead the Philippine National Police.
Dela Rosa is a member of Duterte’s PDP-Laban, whereas Lacson leads the Partido Reporma.
Sotto, on the other hand, is the Nationalist People’s Coalition’s chairman.
Dela Rosa filed his presidential candidacy certificate in October of last year, but then withdrew it.
