Computing Taught Postgraduate Excellence International Scholarships in UK


The University of Kent has chosen to grant the Computing Taught Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship for 2022-2023 to its international students who attain the highest grades in their undergraduate degrees. This fellowship is available to all international students interested in pursuing a postgraduate degree at the University of Kent’s School of Computing. To be considered for this scholarship, students must submit an admission application. The grant consists of a £3,000 tuition fee reduction.

Criteria of Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Students from all over the world are welcome to apply.
  • Eligible Courses or Subjects: Students can apply to any postgraduate study at the University of Kent’s School of Computing.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:
  • Applicants must be fee-paying international students.
  • The applicants must have a first-class honors degree to demonstrate academic distinction (or overseas equivalent).
  • Applicants must have applied for and been accepted into a School of Computing Postgraduate Taught (MSc/ Master’s) program beginning in September 2022.
  • By July 1, 2022, the applicants must have accepted their offer to study in the School of Computing through the Kent applicant site.
  • The applicants must not be involved in a partnership.

Benefits Offered

  • The applicants must come from another country and pay the requisite deposit (£2,000) by July 1, 2022.

Process of the Application

  • Students must first complete an application for admission on the university portal. Students can browse the scholarship database on the application portal after applying for admission and apply for the scholarships they choose.
  • Documents to Support Your Application: Students must provide the following documents to the university:
  • information about your past research
  • a proposal for research (usually between 1000-3000 words)
  • two referees’ contact information
  • Where applicable, proof of English proficiency.
  • Admission Standards: Applicants must meet the university’s country-specific requirements. The applicants must also have or have anticipated a 2:2 ratio (or equivalent).
  • Students are required to submit scores on the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS -6.5
  • CAE/CPE-176
  • PTE -63
  • TOEFL IBT-90
