Outstanding students in Japan can apply for scholarship options. For the academic year 2022/2023, Nagasaki University is offering Asian Student Foundation Scholarships. Only ambitious students from Asia who wish to begin undergraduate or graduate degree study at the university are eligible for the scholarship program.

Asian students have a great opportunity to finish their education at Nagasaki University. Nagasaki University is a Japanese national university that was founded in 1949. It educates approximately 9,000 students, 300 of them are international students from various countries. Undergraduate and graduate degree programs are available at the university.

    • Nagasaki University was founded in 1949 and is a non-profit public higher education school located in the small city of Nagasaki (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants). Nagasaki University is a coeducational higher education institution that is officially accredited and/or recognized by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. Nagasaki University provides a variety of courses and programs that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor’s degrees in a variety of fields.

Criteria of Eligibility

  • Only students from Asia are eligible.
  • Undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a variety of fields are eligible.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:
  • International students are required.
  • You must have applied to a university course that is relevant to you.

Benefits Offered

  • All undergraduate degree program candidates will get a 20,000 Yen scholarship, and graduate degree program applicants will receive a 20,000 Yen award. A monthly stipend will be provided as part of the scholarship.

Process of the Application

  • How to Apply: Applicants must apply to be considered for this scholarship, and all candidates must first be enrolled in the appropriate program. They can apply for this scholarship after they have enrolled.
  • Supporting Documents: Pre-qualification degree, copies of academic transcripts, certifications of English language competency, a statement, and a copy of passport must be sent with the application for admission.
  • Admission Requirements: You must have a high school diploma to enroll in an undergraduate degree program. A bachelor’s degree from an approved college or university is also required for the master’s degree program.
  • If candidates are non-native English speakers, they must have adequate aptitude in the English language to be admitted to an appropriate program. To take English-language courses, applicants must have at least intermediate language abilities.
