Andrea goes viral for tasting hotdog ‘frying oil’ in Adie’s ‘Tahanan’ music video

-

Andrea Brillantes, a Filipino actress, tickled netizens’ funny bones after appearing in a music video in which she tastes what looks to be frying oil while cooking sliced hotdogs. She then stated that it was boiling water, as the music video director indicated it was an intentional action.

The Facebook page “Meme in Black” was among the first to share the amusing scene in Adie’s music video for Tahanan, which premiered on April 20. The post on the page has received almost 40,000 replies (mainly “Haha”), 31,000 shares, and 2,600 comments.

Lot of netizens expressed their reactions in the comments.

"masarap po ba ung mantika HAHAHHAHHA," someone wrote.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HUY GAGI TAWANG TAWA AKO BLYTHEEEEEEE PANIMULA PA LANG LUTANG KA NA," another commenter said. "PERO ANG GANDA MO PA DIN GRABE."
"ganto pala mangyayari pag nag bf ng basketball player," another user said, referring to Ricci Rivero of the UP Fighting Maroons who recently became her boyfriend.

Brillantes quickly made reference to the existing debate, casually mentioning it in a message on her Facebook page as she promoted the music video.

"sinabawang hotdog supremacy," she wrote in her own post's comments.

She then set the record straight: It’s not frying oil but actually just one’s average H2O.

Kris Cazin, the music video’s director and producer, claimed in a second Facebook post that it was all his “intention,” and he attached a screenshot of his remark on the music video explaining why.

Tahanan, which will be released in 2021, is a song about couples who have finally found their comfort zones with each other, according to Adie. It has nearly 28 million Spotify streams.

Meanwhile, the music video has over 500,000 views and is currently ranked third on YouTube’s trending list.

Adie rose to prominence through his viral YouTube videos in which he sings out popular songs. In 2020, he was signed to O/C Records. Adie was nominated for four local awards in 2021: Breakthrough Artist and Favorite Male Artist in the 34th Awit Awards; Wish Breakthrough Artist of the Year; and Wishclusive Contemporary Folk Performance of the Year for Paraluman in the 7th Wish Music Awards.
