Alyssa Valdez tests positive for COVID-19

After coming out of the Pinoy Big Brother house, Alyssa Valdez has tested positive for COVID-19.

Her handler, the V Management Group, confirmed the development through a Twitter post and said the Creamline team captain is now undergoing mandatory protocols and is recovering from home.

“After experiencing some mild symptoms and a confirmatory RT-PCR test, Alyssa tested positive for COVID-19.

“We’d like to thank those who have sent their well-wishes and prayers her way,” the agency’s statement read. “Please be rest assured that Alyssa is taking the necessary precautions and will be recovering from home.”

Valdez first manifested mild symptoms and a confirmatory RT-PCR test showed that she has contracted the virus.

Valdez, who headlines the powerhouse Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League, recently starred as a celebrity housemate in the reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother.

The 28-year-old Batangas stalwart exited the house just last Sunday, January 2, where she was named as one one of the top two celebrity housemates and bagged P100,000.

Meanwhile, Valdez had a short message on her social media accounts: “Thank you all for the well-wishes!”

Valdez just got out of the “PBB” house on Sunday after finishing in the top 2 with Anji Salvacion.
