The Aboitiz Foundation recently announced that applications for the Aboitiz College Scholarship Program (ACSP) for the school year 2021-2022 are now open, with a focus on students studying data science, digital transformation, engineering, and information technology, sales, e-commerce, agriculture, and nutrition.

It offers complete tuition fee coverage, a monthly allowance, and board review expenses for degrees that need a board exam after graduation.

The Aboitiz Group responds to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals No. 1 (No Poverty) and No. 4 (Quality Education) by providing opportunities for bright and promising but financially challenged students to receive a quality education through its social development arm, the Aboitiz Foundation. “Our education initiatives strive to bridge education and employment so that individuals are empowered to create a better future for themselves and their families,” said Maribeth Marasigan, president, and chief operating officer of the Aboitiz Foundation.

The Aboitiz College Scholarship Program (ACSP) continues to provide financial support, holistic learning, experience, and information disclosure, as well as mentoring partnerships for students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business/Management/Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, Communication, and Social Sciences as part of their commitment to developing future talent and leaders to create a better world (Psychology, Economics and Political Science).

Benefits Offered

  • To be eligible for the Aboitiz College Scholarship, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
    • Be a full-time incoming freshman at an eligible college or university;
    • Pursue a degree identified by the Aboitiz Foundation;
    • Have a GWA of at least 88 percent with no failing or incomplete grades;
    • Not have a record of any form of disciplinary action; and
    • Complete the application form and submit the requirements on or before June 11, 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Please prepare the following items for your college scholarship application:
    • Grade 12 Report Card reflecting your first semester grades (First and Second Quarter) or second-semester grades, whichever is available;
    • School Principal Recommendation Letter;
    • Proof of awards and extracurricular involvement.

Process of Screening and Selection

  • • Shortlisted applicants will be advised to attend a panel interview, which will be held by Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.
  • Applicants who pass the interview will take an exam, which will be conducted by a third-party provider.
  • Selected applicants will be contacted by phone or email.

Process of the Application

  • The ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL for the Aboitiz Scholarship Program 2022 must be completed on time by applicants.
  • Attachments: When filling out the form, please include the following documents:
    • A certified copy of the whole candidate’s complete high school report card is required only for incoming first-year candidates.
    • ONLY for students in their second through fourth years: the school may give a certified copy of the applicant’s certificate for all undergraduate courses that end with the prior section’s last semester grades (or the last official document).
    • The applicant’s final average grade (for incoming first-year students) or overall cumulative GPA must be certified by the headmaster or registrar (for incoming year 2 to 4 applicants).
    • The proportion of the equivalent grade should be included in the GPA/GWA certification.
    • Certifications to back up your leadership experience, achievements, and community involvement.
